CG Leader/Host
Are you interested in leading or do you want to open your home to host a Community Group (CG)? We are seeking those who exhibit a passion for God, a compassion for people and a teachable spirit. While prior experience in leading a small group is helpful, it is not a prerequisite. However, we do recommend having been an active participant in a Redeemer CG for at least a year prior.
CG leaders are tasked with:
- Completing new leader training and attending additional trainings throughout the year
- Creating a warm space for members to cultivate both a relationship with God and friendships with others
- Facilitating gospel-centered discussion using the weekly guide provided by Redeemer
- Working towards membership at Redeemer LSQ
Commitment: CGs meet weekly for fellowship, prayer and facilitated, scripture-based discussion, but groups are welcome to interact more regularly as desired.

Linq Groups
Do you have a favorite hobby or interest and want to gather others to share in the fun? We believe the best way to reach those who are disconnected from the church is through existing relationships. Through a variety of cultural, educational, social and service-related activities, these groups seek to develop and strengthen relationships in an organic yet structured way, and their primary aim should be evangelistic in nature.
Examples of groups:
- Fitness Group (meets bi-weekly to exercise and then share a meal together afterwards)
- Women’s Book Club (meets monthly, discussing a new book each time)
Process for starting a new group includes:
- Selecting a leadership team of at least two people
- Filling out a proposal, which includes a mission statement and a one-year plan
- Receiving approval from the LSQ Staff upon review of the submitted proposal
- Reviewing and accepting LSQ’s communications protocols and Linq Group guidelines
Commitment: As the leader of an approved group, you’ll spearhead all efforts related to your one-year plan.

Tasks for this team include:
- Using your personal resources to provide a meal
- Proactively responding to the Meals Ministry team captain when opportunities arise
- Viewing a calendar and picking from a list of dates available
- Scheduling meal delivery
Commitment: Occasional; as needs arise.

Events
Do you love organizing and executing events? Are you creative and gifted in decorating? If so, this is the team for you. The Events Team has the opportunity to put together a variety of church-wide events and special projects within the calendar year that are essential for our fellowship as a family as well as our outreach to the community. Two of the big events are LSQ’s Christmas Party and Anniversary Sunday.
Tasks for this team could include:
- Space and vendor search and booking
- Detailing the program of activities
- Envisioning and executing room design and decor
- Creating fun experiences like photo booths or interactive stations
- Ordering supplies
- Setup and teardown day of event
Commitment: A couple times a year; varies depending on the event.

Visual Arts
Given the name of our church and neighborhood in which we worship on Sundays, the arts play a big role in the life of our church, and we’d love to share that more throughout our ministries and activities. Are you a photographer, graphic designer, painter or any other type of visual artist? If so, we’d love to learn about your work and see how we can best dream up ways to collaborate. Think special bulletin covers, Christmas cards, event photos or installations during Coffee Hour.
Commitment: Varies depending on the type of project.
